His story

SIMÕÉ, who are you?

-----

A bit of history

The jewel, a journey, a memory

When the SIMÕÉ project was born, the goal was to create a unisex collection that was both modern and contemporary,
intended for both men and women, returning to the basics of the history of jewelry.

Originally, jewelry was a body ornament (shells, etc.) intended to adorn the human body. The first revolution was the appearance of metal (750 BC), which allowed the development of many goldsmithing techniques that would push a large number of jewelers to travel to other trading posts to increase trade and enrich their knowledge.
With their experience, they take with them know-how and techniques that will be perfected
as they travel.

The origin of the project was therefore to offer raw pieces, with assumed textures and varied shapes. Man has always loved jewelry but has not always assumed it and it is one of these little things that led Nicolas to question the demand for jewelry for men.

Simõé draws her inspiration from travel, discovery and exploration.
Nicolas has always believed in the legacy that a jewel represents through its longevity and its evolution over time.

From the outset, Simõé Paris has chosen to market products that respect ethical rules, whether in terms of manufacturing, production or marketing methods.

The jewelry is made of 925 silver, 24k vermeil (gilded in a Parisian workshop) and 18k solid gold, and our workshop sources from a certified foundry in order to control the traceability of the metals. Simoé Paris jewelry was imagined and designed by a single workshop that also works for the biggest French luxury brands.

The primary objective is to offer raw jewelry, combining finesse and shapes, textures and smooth surfaces,
for both men and women.

The know-how and craftsmanship of jewelry are rare and precious, it is very important to respect it by preserving it.
This is why Nicolas chose France and Paris for Simõé.
It was unthinkable not to produce locally.

However , due to the technicality of certain products or the area of expertise required for their production, some of our creations are assembled in Italy and finished in our Parisian workshop. These branches belong to French workshops that also hold the RJC label, which guarantee responsible working methods and conditions.
The products concerned have a mention in their product sheet.
The transformations and manipulations on the jewelry are carried out entirely in Paris.

Nicolas was keen to develop his project and build his jewel locally, in order to promote a short circuit and reduce as much as possible the carbon footprint that would be required by significant transport logistics (production in factories abroad, less expensive manufacturing in certain countries, etc.).

It is important to emphasize that Simõé is trying to make every effort to achieve this, but that these investments take time to be implemented and that we are doing everything we can to act on our scale.
